Alarm systems
|

|

|
|
Description
The alarm systems used for monitoring graphite safety discs provide a visual and acoustic alarm or trigger plant cutoffs.
Two tantalum contacts or a contact finger in the alarm system press against the membrane of the safety disc and close the circuit of an amplifier relay. When the safety disc ruptures, the current circuit is interrupted and this triggers the alarm.
Advantages
• Corrosion resistance ensured by use of suitable materials.
• Reusability after safety disk rupture
• Simple electrical connection via the 1.5 meter-long integral connecting cable
• Used together with the matching amplifier relay, this system can also be operated in high explosion risk zones.
Technical data
• Service voltage : AC 207V-253V, 45Hz - 60Hz, DC20 V - 30V
Control circuit
• [EExia] II C, input as per DIN 19234 (NAMUR)
• Output: 1 changeover AC 253 V / 2 A, DC 40 V / 2 A
• The amplifier relay should be mounted outside the explosion risk zone

EXPLOSION PANELS - PDF
|

|

|
|
Application
• Filters, silos, storage powders
• Explosion Vents are specially designed for relief of dust explosions.
• Explosion Vents combine safety and shorter opening times
Construction
• Domed: resistant to alternative loads: pressure / vacuum
• Flat: suitable for plant equipment with static over or under pressure conditions up to 50% of the rated rupture pressure.
• Round or rectangular
Materials
• 304L or 316L stainless steel
• EPDM gaskets (maxi +120°C) & white silicon gaskets (maxi +200°C)
Options
• Insulation discharge side by fireproof mineral wool according to DIN 1259.
• The insulation is directly mounted to the "vent- side" of the explosion vent and is protected by a light-weight aluminium cover with a water-tight seal.
• Bursting sensor: The sensor signals the opening of the explosion panel so that equipment such as fans or rotary valves can be switched off.
Norms
• VDI 3673 / NFPA 68 / CEN TC 305
• Marking CE / ATEX 100 / EN14491
• Quality Insurance ISO 9001
• Test certificates according to EN 10204 3.1B

INDOOR EXPLOSION VENTING
|
|
|
|
Application
• Indoor vents are applied for flameless venting
• By using Explosion Vents in combination with a unique Ceramic Filter, economical venting of dust explosions is possible.
• When the vent opens during an explosion, the ceramic filter retains the dust and cools down the hot gases.
• The IndoorVent can be re-used after changing the filter cartridges and the
explosion vent.
Parameters
• Extendable from 1900 cm² to 3100 cm²
• Tested up to P red max 0,9 bar
• The Indoor Vent can be used for reducing explosion pressures (P red) between 0.2 to 1.5 bar g and K st values up to 250 bar m/sec.
Norm
• certified according to the ATEX 100 standard
